Quick and Nourishing Homemade Energy Bars

In search of a fast, nourishing treat that's simple to prepare and ideal for anytime snacking? Our tasty homemade energy bars are perfect for you. With healthy elements such as oats, raisins, walnuts, dried apricots, and banana, these energy bars provide an excellent source of nutrition without any included sugar. Let's get cooking!

  • 80 grams of rolled oats
  • 100 grams of raisins
  • 80 grams of finely chopped walnuts
  • 100 grams of finely chopped dried apricots
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed into a puree

Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: Preparing the Banana Puree

Firstly, mash a ripe banana in a bowl until it forms a smooth puree. This banana puree serves as a natural sweetener and binding agent in your energy bars, hence, no added sugar is required.

Step 2: Combining the Ingredients

In a large bowl, amalgamate the rolled oats, raisins, chopped walnuts, and chopped dried apricots. Stir these dry components together to ensure a balanced mixture.

Step 3: Mix Wet and Dry Elements

Pour the banana puree into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Thoroughly stir until all the elements are combined well. The final mixture should be sticky enough to clump together but should not be over damp.

Step 4: Arranging in Mold

Take a 25×15 cm mold size and line it with a parchment paper to facilitate easy removal of the energy bars later. Pour the mixture into the mold and press it firmly and evenly using the back of a spoon or a spatula.

Step 5: Chilling and Setting

Refrigerate the mold for about 2 hours to aid in the firming up of the mixture. After it has set, remove from the mold and slice into bars based on your preferred size.

And voila, with just a few minutes of preparation and a little chilling time, you have a set of delectable, healthy energy bars ready to be savored. These bars are a great choice for a quick breakfast, a midday snack, or a pre/post workout energy boost. Enjoy your homemade, sugar-less energy bars, and feel good about the nutritious ingredients that you're consuming.
